From KLIA/KLIA2 to the City Centre

The best option depends on arrival time, group size, and luggage. KLIA Ekspres is predictable for solo travellers; Grab is convenient for direct hotel access, groups, and luggage.

Grab

Route
KLIA/KLIA2 to Bukit Bintang, KLCC, or Hakka Restaurant area
Approx. Price
Usually around RM75-90 off-peak; demand and peak periods can push fares to around RM130-180
Approx. Time
Around 45-75 minutes. Heavy traffic can exceed 90 minutes

Best for door-to-door hotel access, groups, large luggage, and late arrivals. Always confirm the live fare in the app.

KLIA Ekspres - The Fastest Way to KLIA

Route
KLIA T1/T2 to KL Sentral, then Grab or city rail to your hotel
Approx. Price
Adult single RM55, return RM100. A Grab from KL Sentral to Bukit Bintang is roughly RM10-20 extra
Approx. Time
KLIA T1 to KL Sentral takes 28 minutes; T1 to T2 takes 3 minutes. City-centre hotels are roughly 40-60 minutes including transfer

The train avoids road traffic. Since KL Sentral is not the final venue, consider the extra transfer if you have heavy luggage.

Airport and City-Centre Orientation

KLIA/KLIA2 is south of central Kuala Lumpur, and KLIA Ekspres first arrives at KL Sentral. Hakka Restaurant sits close to the area between Bukit Bintang and KLCC, making it practical to gather by Grab from central hotels.
